The ORION Project is partnering with SHFCA during their Annual Conference and will be presented during session 3 in the afternoon.

The SHFCA2022 annual conference is an in-person event with the First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon MSP, invited to give the opening keynote. The plenary session will focus on the importance of partnerships for growth of hydrogen across Scotland, and three other sessions will cover regional hubs with hydrogen infrastructure, scaling up hydrogen production, and building up early hydrogen demand.

The 14th SHFCA annual conference takes place at a pivotal moment in the growing hydrogen economy, with the increasing number and scale of projects in Scotland now being announced. Hydrogen Scotland will address the importance of building partnerships and sharing lessons learned as we scale up production of hydrogen to deliver Scotland’s target of 5GW low carbon hydrogen production by 2030. Speakers will highlight opportunities for development of local supply chains and skills, together with the distributed production of hydrogen as a key part of Just Transition.

ORION Project Coordinator Gunther Newcombe will be speaking during Session 3:
